Bob and Lenore Gilbert brought more than 40 years of restaurant experience, including their years at Kansas City Steakhouse, to a small corner of Cordova Road in 2008. They set out to make the burger they wanted to eat: fresh Angus, never frozen, cooked with care.
It's still a family place. Daughter Beth, son-in-law Chef Corwin and son Richard keep the grill going, and Lenore still bakes the Key lime pie. Regulars know them by name, and first-timers usually become regulars.
